Q. Do Establishments pay to be included on the site or get special treatment if they advertise on it?
A. No, Establishments are listed without their prior consultation and all advertising is entirely independent of the listings and comments.
Q. I want to write a review but I can't remember the name of the Establishment. How can I find it?
A. The simplest way is to create a small radius around the location where you ate, using the My Locations function, to create a limited list of Establishments. If this is your Primary Location, establishments will be listed by Type (e.g. Café) rather than all together. It may help to set a location to Primary, temporarily, in order to achieve this. You can then sort the lists by Name, Town etc. to find the right place.
Q. I put a complaint on the site recently but I don't see it amongst the reviews for that establishment?
A. All reviews are moderated (checked) by an Editor and may be rejected because of inappropriate language, commercial bias or personal remarks. If you are sure none of these factors applied to your review then please notify the Editor using the Contact form.
Q. I've used the search facility but I can't find where I ate last night. Is the database fully up to date and, if not, how do I get a new Establishment listed?
A. We try to ensure the site is fully up to date but Establishments open and close all the time. Please ensure you are looking in the correct location and use the contact form to inform us of the omission if you are still unable to find it. We will notify you when the Establishment has been entered onto the database.
Q. How do you decide into which category (i.e. Café) an Establishment falls?
A. Broadly, the categories are those under which the Establishment is listed in the telephone directory. We do, however, revise these where we feel they may be misleading or, sometimes, if requested by the Establishment.
