Apple Orphanage Company Limited is a new Manx company founded to make natural, traditional and local drinks – and they do things differently.
They've been working on the ideas behind Apple Orphanage and their products for a long time...
WHO ARE THEY?
They are Will Faulds and Charlotte Traynor. They formed Apple Orphanage Company Limited in October 2009.
Will was born and raised on the Isle of Man and introduced Charlotte to the Island in 2007. They've lived together at The Lynague farm ever since.

Will's been making cider and wine at The Lynague, from home grown fruit, for nearly 6 years. He started with apple wine, utilising the surplus apples from The Lynague orchard - they both hate to see good things go to waste - particularly apples - Will loves apples! They've trialled wines from every fruit, flower or bush you can imagine. Their personal favourites have been: blackcurrant, plum, gooseberry, and elderflower. They like to make the most of their natural resources wherever possible, and are passionate about keeping things natural and free from chemicals. They have realised you can make something taste great, if not better, without them and who wants to drink chemicals?

They believe it's important to make the most of existing local resources; so when any ingredients or services are required they try to source them on the Island. The Isle of Man has great potential to be self sufficient and they try their hardest to make people realise that great things are, and can be, grown here.
Over the last three years they have entertained the somewhat radical possibility of producing their drinks commercially. They decided to go for it; so here they are today: Apple Orphanage Company Limited, made-wine, cider and apple juice producers!
Also produced is
Elderflower Keshal
a light medium-dry refreshing drink
Elderflower Keshal is only made once a year because they want the flowers to be perfect; fresh and in full bloom. Manx elderflowers are had-picked in their seasonal prime - so it's worth the wait!
Based on a traditional family recipe, Elderflower Keshal has been refined over the years to give a wonderfully fragrant, crisp flavour with a clean citrus finish.
Each bottle is meticulously prepared for bottle conditioning, following the 'Traditional Method' for sparkling wines, as used for both Champagne and Cava, so Elderflower Keshal has a natural sparkle.
Available as either 24 demi-bottles (37.5cl), or 12 traditional bottle (75cl) cases.
The star of the show at any celebration and the perfect match to an elegant dinner party. Equally suitable as a unaccompanied indulgence shared with friends.
