Patchwork cafe and guesthouse occupies a prominent position at the top of
Bay View Road in Port St Mary - overlooking Chapel Beach, and has a great
reputation Island-wide. They also featured as one of the 'Best Places to Stay
' in the Daily Telegraph travel section and have been awarded prestigious
“Taste of Isle of Man" accreditation. All their food is home cooked, they use
local suppliers and producers, and they always have mouthwatering freshly
cooked daily specials.
The café walls have become a gallery space for local photographers to
exhibit their work and they also have an interesting fortnightly Cinema
Supper Club – and are very keen on recycling.

Patchwork Cafe's Rich Ashcroft also made it through to the finals of "The
Manx Chef of the Year" Competition in a cook off at the Royal Manx Show last year.
Rich said: "I'm incredibly chuffed to have made it to the next stage with one of the dishes from our cafe's summer menu. We work so hard to use locally sourced and sustainable produce and this opportunity is testament to that effort.
Thanks to Christian from Kallow Point Seafoods for his line caught, cold smoked smoked Callig (pollack), Sheila Gawne from Pooil Vaaish Farm for the sweetest baby leeks, Ian from Cooils Dairy for his delicious cream and Pentti Christian for his Ellerslie oil.
"
A trio of judges, that included DEFA member Kate Beecroft, commented that the standard this year was 'extremely high' and the range of Manx sourced produce was the 'best seen in four years of the competition'.
