jenny   Are any Chefs out there getting really tired of the negitive and pathetic comments, it seems that some of us are getting unfairly targeted by regulars but then again so are new people to the sight who are presumed to be fraudsters.  03/06/2010  Post a Reply
jenny   Its obvious this is happening, so why arn,t they being filtered out, how can people judge a whole experiance if they never set foot in your place. and why should we have to use a right to reply when it should,nt have got through in the first place  23/07/2010
Coco   Comments on places that people haven't visited carry no weight. Unfortunately this sometimes happens when people make generalizations. I would strongly suggest you respond with your 'right to reply' Jenny, and use this facility to your advantage.   18/07/2010
Jenny   Should chefs feel the views are relevent and fair even when some of the people commenting have never even visited the sights and just going on what others have said, I don,t think so and yes this has been happening to me  12/07/2010
jen   There are a number of negitive comments being targeted at establishments that the reviewer has,nt even visited. correct its about the whole experiance, but surely one has to actually visit the place to be able to give a fair comment.  11/07/2010
Desperate Dan   Time for you to respond, Jenny .......  14/06/2010
Coco   Who decides categorically what is 'deserved' or 'relevant'? Reviews are only subjective; chefs may well feel that some comments are unfair and should respond accordingly. Perhaps in this case it would help to further clarify what is being objected to?   12/06/2010
manxbrummie   Most of my reviews are positive, but I have to agree that food is only one of the elements of a dining experience. Service is also essential. Are you a chef, Jenny? If so, I'll dine at your establishment and give you an honest appraisal.  11/06/2010
Coco   I agree, but irrelevant and dubious comments are transparent to most readers and will only serve to damage the credibility of the reviewer. Personally I'd be really interested in reading more comments from chefs and those working in the industry.   11/06/2010
Desperate Dan   Dining out is not just about the food - it's about the whole experience which includes service, decor and value. As I see it, Chefs receive really high praise if they deserve it and criticism if they don't. That's what this website is all about!  10/06/2010
jenny   very true coco but when some of the comments are totally unrelated to food then it becomes unfair  05/06/2010
coco   Hi Jenny. Isn't the purpose of the site to enable democratic feedback? If you're saying that customers are leaving 'negative' and 'pathetic' comments just for kicks, then chefs have the right to reply to any unfair comments.....   03/06/2010
