DRAG QUEEN DANCE CLASS
Floridita, London
NEW FUN & FABULOUS FITNESS TREND SWEEPS THE CAPITAL
A new fun and fabulous fitness trend is sweeping the Capital, with women of all ages signing up to Drag-Queen Dance-Classes, hosted by the world class dancing drag troupe, The Globe Girls at Floridita London.
Billed as the latest exercise craze (“forget pole dancing - so last year!”), the Drag-Queen Dance-Classes teach women how to be at their most glamorous, while learning energetic and up-to-the-minute dance routines.
Having danced for A-List celebrities including Elton John, Beyonce – and even HRH Prince Edward – The Globe Girls know a thing or two about putting on a good show, and their exercise secrets can now be shared with you.
All pupils must adhere to the strict dress-code of sequins, lame, spandex and glitter. Hair should be back-combed and big. Please note: flat shoes are strictly prohibited even during Warm Up sessions.
The class starts with a gentle Warm Up exercise in the art of applying the longest lashes, followed by some more serious make-up application tips from the Girls. More is definitely more.
The Globe Girls will then move on to some Intensive Training for Walking In Heels. Each girl must perfect this stage before she moves on to the Dance Class proper. Remember, the first rule of Drag-Queen Dance-Class is one must walk before one can dance.
The Girls then put the pupils through their paces with a full-on dance routine, working the whole body to improve muscle tone, flexibility, coordination and core strength.
Each move is designed to make pupils feel fabulous, confident, empowered and feminine, channelling Beyonce, Gaga and Britney.
After the class, pupils are rewarded with a three course cosmopolitan Latin American and Cuban menu created by Floridita’s Executive Chef, Richard Sawyer while sitting back to watch The Globe Girls do all the work as they headline Cabaret Floridita.
Neil Armishaw, Director of Globestar Management comments: “It’s no surprise that Drag-Queen Dance-Classes are so popular. With Beyonce revealing her full-on glamorous stage alter-ego of Sasha Fierce and Kylie using drag queen backing dancers, women are taking part in this empowering, fun and energetic dance class to firm up, look great and feel fabulous!”
