04/07/2012 I ate here under the previous management and swore I'd never set foot in the place again! Heard it was new management so gave it a try for tea and scones. Four people - two wrong orders! Prices are ridiculous for a simple cream tea. Never again!!

24/04/2012 Under New Management, this is such a lovely location but £14.95 is a bit steep for 2 latte, cup of tea and 2 scones!!!! How can anyone justify £3.95 for a scone!! They were nice scones but not that nice.
OK

08/08/2011 Very nice freshly cooked cod. All of party enjoyed their food. Very nice cosy atmosphere. Service not very attentive.

19/04/2011 very disappointing; waited 50 mins for tasteless chicken and under cooked veg and paid £10.99 for a ploughman's with sliced bread! will visit again for a cuppa but will eat in Peel first.

24/11/2010 Few customers in at midday. Food was hot and served fairly quickly. Coffee machine not working. Attentive waiter.

13/09/2010 Friendly service, good food and beautiful location. Just a shame the prices let it down - £8.45 is a bit expensive for a baguette and a few tortilla chips and not even any salad.

04/09/2010 A beautiful place, staff are friendly and efficient, food was ok. Chicken with port sauce needed less veg and more potatoes. Chicken burger would have been even nicer with homemade chips. We will still return as was a pleasant evening

07/07/2010 Poor service and food worse than mediocre. Ever had COOKED carpaccio? Or bread and rice in the same dish? The queenies were like bullets and the sausages had been reheated at least a dozen times. Would not recommend this place to anybody.

12/06/2010 Just been here again with visitors from overseas who had seen its location and wanted to book. Was given a great table at the window with lovely views; service was excellent and food was really well cooked.

02/06/2010 My partner and I visit here often, and have never had bad service or bad food. Lovely spot on a summers day, but also cosy and relaxing in the colder weather! Staff are lovely as is the food.

15/05/2010 Impulse visit. Cannot fault it at all. Superbly cooked and presented roast meals. Two of us shared one Chocaholic Wotsit. You can feel your arteries protesting but it is worth it! Staff excellent - the matchless location speaks for itself.

05/01/2010 Had roast turkey just before Christmas. Meat a bit dry & roast pots not crispy. Poor veg selection. Reasonable meal tho over-priced at £9.95. £2 less would have been acceptable. Curry served with poppadum on top & goes rubbery. Ask for it to be on side.

15/12/2009 We chose the xmas menu- the "senior" portions were more than adequate. Very good value.

08/10/2009 We had a fresh fillet of Pollock baked in a lovely cheesy sauce with potatoes and roast veg’ & a stuffed chicken breast, both delicious. We rounded off the meal with coffees and a portion the chef’s home made banoffe charlotte. Excellent food & service.

29/09/2009 Great Location and nice restaurant, but was very disappointed with the food. Meals were basic with no taste or flavour to them and the portions were small. Bring a picnic and sit outside to eat next time!

05/09/2009 absolutely atrocious. I dont think I have had such a bad meal. Asked for a chicken burger & it was actually boiled in water!!! The beef burger was rank too.

04/09/2009 arrived a couple of minutes past noon ,was refused service for a cup of coffee because they only serve meals after 12.It calls itself a cafe and it was completely empty at the time, my jaw dropped open. I
