Excellent lunch - Not normally onpen on a Sunday but it was Mothers day and they were full. A bit of a wait for our table but once we were seated all went smoothly. Well trained and very pleasant staff.

Not the first time we've been to Portofino, but it may be a while before we go back. Yes, the prices were high but the food was excellent and the staff were fine. However the owner is getting VERY self-important and it takes the edge off the meal.

The menu is fairly simple. Loughtan lamb fillet was pink and tender. Service well-paced and pleasant. Decor and furnishings modern and attractive. Prices are too high BUT it was full so if everything else stays right, maybe they will get away with it

I echo the comments of the previous person, certainly not fine dining by any stretch of the imagination. Surroundings may be fine but if the food and service dont match up.......Could do much better

Second visit. Last for a while. Gawped at by kitchen staff on arrival. Disorganised waiting staff - who was in charge; owner or head waiter ? Few wine top-ups. All food warm not hot. Steak served with mash and carrots in gravy. Not fine dining.

What an evening:) This was a scrummy meal. Had scallops with pea puree. Delicious. The Loughtan lamb was to die for and I thoroughly enjoyed my profiteroles. Good wine and non intrusive Maitre d' made this a lovely meal and I will be back

Was slightly annoyed to find only christmas menu available @ £35ph. Didnt fancy turkey so opted for steak @ an extra£10 andmy starter of scallops also came at an extra £5. Very nice evening hugely let down by the very poor quality frozen desserts
