ADESSO FOODS
Marinades, Drips & Drizzles
Adesso Foods is a Manchester based company and a member of The Guild of Fine Food. They have a passion for excellence in food, quality and service.

The company is owned and managed by two hands-on guys - Rizwan Rashid and Brian Goodhand, who have been actively involved in the food industry for several years. But they have recently been inspired to create a range of Extra Virgin Olive Oil based Ambient Marinades, Dips and Drizzles. Inspired being the key word - Rizwan and Brian both have a great love of all things Italian, and while they were learning to speak Italian, Rizwan identified Adesso as the Italian word for Now! What better name for a range of new products, that by virtue of their formulation, can be used as an instant Marinade, Dip or Drizzle for salads, vegetables, meat, fish and poultry.
Their new range sounds and looks very appealing, as do the recipes they suggest.

The one I taste tested on this occasion was the Orange & Honey version - for those with a sweet tooth, but not too much so. One third honey blended with rosemary, thyme and orange zest, to create what really was a subtle treat for the taste buds.
I actually tried it absolutely straight with warm crusty bread, and it was extremely moreish and to my taste. But it would go very nicely with lamb, chicken, duck, pork, fish or vegetables.
This is what I will be trying next – my mouth is watering already!
Duck with Ginger

With a sharp knife make several diagonal cuts in duck breast. Shake bottle thoroughly from side to side pour marinade over duck breast and coat, Add strips of fresh root ginger according to taste, optional, set to one side for 30 minutes in the refrigerator, or if you’re in a rush skip this process.
Lift the duck breast out of the marinade, and place in a hot pan, cook on a high heat turning frequently, for 10-12 minutes, until tender. If you find the duck sticks add some olive oil. Add the remainder of the marinade and simmer for a further 2 minutes until reduced. If you want more sauce simply add some of the marinade from the bottle.
To serve slice breast and arrange on plate, pour juices from the pan over the breast and garnish with the cooked root ginger. Serve with boiled new potatoes and asparagus.
The attractive 220ml bottle costs 5.00 and is worth every penny.
