NEW ZEALAND HONEY CO.

New Zealand Honey Co’s new range of honeys are presented in attractive squeezy bottles which really work. It is possible to prepare toast and honey without getting sticky at all – although not the same can be said for actually eating it. But with ‘honey for tea’ that’s always expected! But these are an easy way to incorporate natural goodness into your diet and help improve health and wellbeing. What’s more, they’re also a wonderfully versatile way to add flavour to all sorts of your other dishes. And unlike other squeezy honeys, these have a unique pre-biotic and antioxidant rating which tells you just how much goodness you're getting from each spoonful.
The range at present comprises two interesting varieties:
Beech Forest Honeydew is the perfect smooth rich syrupy honey for bread or toast, and it also went very well on fruit, yogurt and muesli.
Thyme Honey, with its subtle hint of savoury flavour, went equally well with toast or yoghurt, but was also the perfect one to make a delicious and tender marinade for meat dishes.
Many now use honey as an alternative to sugar. As a more natural sweetener it is better for you than refined sugars. I can recommend these two from New Zealand Honey Co as ideal for the purpose – convenient to use and excellent in flavour.
New Zealand Honey Co is owned by a group of dedicated beekeepers, and harvests its honey from over 14,000 hives in the rural and unspoilt South Island of New Zealand. The company is New Zealand's largest single producer of speciality honeys and they work hard to ensure the final products preserve all of the full flavour and nutritional qualities found in raw natural honey. Their range of squeezy honeys are available from Waitrose, priced £3.49.
