As the first stage of the UK expansion programme for 'Where's Good to Eat?' we have implemented a new-style web site for Secret Diner reviews and other useful information beginning the process of turning 'Where's Good to Eat?' into a genuine "voice" for diners that takes its lead from our user community. For over two years diners have been sharing information about where (and where not) to eat in the Isle of Man and we now want to communicate that knowledge to a wider
audience as well as giving them useful information to aid their dining choices.
The new site will identify stories and news items that can inform and enrich the business of eating out, presenting them in a concise and succinct way that is in keeping with the ethos of the site. More importantly, we will also generate stories about the issues you raise in your comments, feeding them back into the UK media wherever we can.
This is an important new venture for both 'Where's Good to Eat?' and our users that fills a media gap currently dominated by celebrity chefs and food "scare" stories. Eating out is a major part of the UK economy and a key aspect of many people's lives. It deserves to be taken seriously and the new site will do just that.
